Ang "tenets" ay tumutukoy sa mga pangunahing prinsipyo, paniniwala, o doktrina ng isang organisasyon, relihiyon, o sistema ng pananampalataya. Ito ang mga batayan na ginagamit upang gabayan ang mga miyembro ng isang grupo sa kanilang pagkilos at pananaw. Sa konteksto ng mga fraternity o brotherhood, ang "tenets" ay maaaring tumukoy sa mga halaga, paninindigan, at mga alituntunin na sinusunod at pinaniniwalaan ng mga miyembro.
Code of Conduct
Ang "code of conduct" ay mga alituntunin o batayan ng tamang pag-uugali at moralidad na sinusunod ng isang indibidwal, isang grupo, o isang organisasyon sa kanilang mga gawain at pakikitungo sa iba.
